First off, happy 2009! Hope everyone is fine and healthy, which brings me to the next point... (actually it doesn't, but here it does anyway)

I.NEED.YOUR.HELP.

I'm very very sorry about making use of our 2e4 blog for this, but I need your help. I really do. I just need a minute of your time to read this.

An organization, OCE, which is founded by 2 Cambodian students in 2007, are aiming to build an office and a 2-storey library in a local (as in, Cambodia) high school, Batouk. The main purpose of this library is to help Cambodia students applying for scholarship improve their English/ get ready for exams like SATs and Tofel. OCE has helped 4 Cambodia students so far, 1 to Standford, 1 to MIT and 2 Grinell.

My sisters and I are now helping them with the book-drive, which means, we are looking for people to help by donating books to the library. And that's where you come in! We're aiming to get about 10,000 books and clearly we are not able to afford all 10,000 books. SO I NEED YOUR HELP!

So here's an idea of basically the type of books we're looking for:

Storybooks (preferably of Secondary 1-4 standards)
Reader Digest
National Geography
Times
Newsweek
Other educational reading materials
You get the idea...
No newspaper please.

Besides, CNY is coming! So spring clean your house and get rid of the old story books.

If you're able to help us, please let me know ASAP as my 2 younger sisters are coming back to Cambodia on 23rd January for CNY and I'm hoping you guys can pass the books to them. I know it's a lot of ask for, but if you're able to help, please do!!!
